As I wrapped up Chair and stepped into Alternate Delegate, there was quite a lot to do. Normal Chairperson duties include checking in with members of the Area Committee to best support and serve them and the Area. In addition to the usual calls, emails and meetings, I spent time reviewing the Area Handbook to make sure it is updated as we transition to Panel 75. As incoming Alternate Delegate I have updated the DCM handbook and begun work on updating the GSR handbook. To prepare for GSR schools in the first quarter, I have been in communication with some new DCMs to coordinate hosting in various parts of the Area.
Over the next quarter, and throughout this rotation as Alternate Delegate, I intend to continue the practice of facilitating GSR and DCM workshops/schools. I have asked districts to come together to host some GSR schools in the first quarter. My hope is that local GSR schools will be more accessible for members who wish to attend.

In addition to supporting GSRs and DCMs with round tables and workshops, over the course of this rotation I look forward to getting more informed about the General Service Conference: content, procedure, etc. to be as prepared as possible should I be asked to attend in the next two years.
