Walk the Walk or Talk the Talk
Something that comes to mind once in a while, how about you?
For me it came to mind this month! Maybe because it’s 22 yrs working on this program of AA. I was reminded about our ESIG Birthday Club! From Doug our ESIG Office Manager. I actually had forgotten about it but I had to stop and think about it. No to be honest I have never been a part of that club. This is what made us ask ourselves if I walk the walk or talk the talk? The promises do come true if you work for them. My life is living proof of that now and I am able to support our Intergroup Office and help carry the message of AA on the Eastside. I can remember when I first came into AA and $1.00 was all I could contribute to the basket, with Attorney Fees, Court Fees, Probation Fees, Credit Card Debt, and Living Expenses! Over the years the promises do come true, and I became able to put more $ in the basket, heck how much would I spend for a Drink at today’s price? And I don’t get a hangover and as you learn how important it is to support your Home Group, District, Intergroup, Area, GSO, is $5.00 enough I ask? So with Gratitude I am excited to contribute the $5.00 per year of Sobriety to our ESIG Birthday Club. Just another way to feel a part of AA as a whole. If you haven’t stopped by the ESIG Office lately, come on by and meet our new Office Assistant, Ali !
If you’re looking to put some excitement in your program, just get involved with service! Relapse Prevention I say. Lots of opportunities when you’re ready to get rocketed into that 4th Dimension. Do you Walk the Walk or Talk the Talk?
