I just wrapped up our Grapevine Committee meeting, what a fantastic group of people. We made it through all our agenda items and had thoughtful discussions on a few important topics that weren’t on the list. I feel really great about the items we’re bringing forward as a committee and am excited to see how the discussion goes on the floor later this week.
Today also included more sharing on inventory questions, regional delegate reports, and presentations from our Trustee-at-Large and the AA Around the World staff report. I was surprised to learn that there are an estimated 208,696 AA members outside the U.S. and Canada, with 22,432 groups!
We also heard a great update about the upcoming International Convention in Vancouver. I hadn’t thought about how to get around the city so I wanted to share that info with you. The city’s SkyTrain system, connects most hotels, the Convention Center, and where the three main meetings will be held. A 3-day TransLink pass is available through registration and will be mailed with badges in May 2025. Scooter rentals can also be reserved in advance for pickup at the Convention Center via Scootaround.
Tomorrow’s a big day, we begin hearing the Conference Committee reports!
Have a great night,
