This morning, I met with my conference committee, Grapevine, to discuss the agenda items. I am so impressed with the committee! We had a thoughtful and robust discussion. Grapevine and La Viña staff were available to answer our questions and were extremely helpful. We’ll meet again tomorrow to continue our discussions.
In the afternoon, we heard more groups share feedback on the inventory followed by open sharing. It’s always helpful to hear the perspectives, experiences, and ideas from people across our entire Conference structure. We have many different experiences, local challenges, and passions — and yet we are united by a shared love, commitment, and deep passion for AA.
I also had the opportunity to go to dinner with members from different areas and meet many new friends. Just like when I turn to someone next to me at my home group, district meeting, or area quarterly or assembly, I now get to learn from and about other areas. My heart and my perspective grow when I meet new people.
In the evening, we had the finance presentation, and I’m looking forward to digging into it further.
There are some wonderful old pictures on display, including photos of Bill at various General Service Conferences — and even the original Ask-It Basket! (Picture attached.)
I’m excited to share more about these conversations during my Delegate report-backs!
Thanks,
Courtney S.
