I would like to share with you how responsibility manifests itself in my life. Something I have realized is that the more I avail myself to this program, a natural sense of responsibility to give back is the by-product of our 12 steps, traditions, and concepts. I have learned that any service position I take in AA is about being able to adjust myself to meet the needs of the fellowship. The way I accept my responsibility for this rotation is by taking the suggestion of an elderstates person to visit districts and tell them about archives. I am happy to tell you that I have been having a great time visiting districts throughout the Area. It is wonderful to see the lights come on and that people are reminded how important a part archives play in preserving and carrying the message of AA. I am grateful that I get to do this service and have the opportunity to build genuine friendships.
